Professional Massage Therapy Program
Cortiva Institute offers a Professional
Massage Therapy program that is a comprehensive massage course
of instruction offering massage training that bridges intellectual discipline
with technical expertise.
Our massage therapy students learn top healing massage techniques, massage
theory, benefits and practice, communication and ethics in therapeutic
relationships, as well as real life clinical experience. Massage therapy
training is one of the fastest-growing areas of health care – an industry
itself expanding rapidly.
In each massage school, our engaged and experienced faculty, supported
by relevant text books and classroom technology, blend scientific foundations
and hands-on instruction to create an experiential learning environment
that builds clinical reasoning skills. Our
massage school curriculum prepares students to take the National
Certification Exam and state licensing exams. With a strong foundation
in the fundamentals, graduates of our massage schools are prepared for
life-long learning and many return to Cortiva for continuing education
programs such as maternity and infant massage, deep tissue massage, spa
modalities and many more massage specialties. Each Cortiva massage school
is licensed by the state in which it operates and is accredited by an
agency recognized by the U. S. Department of Education.
Our students learn the art and science of many massage techniques and
modalities including Swedish, myofascial, neuromuscular, sports, and clinically
oriented methods. This comprehensive approach to massage training courses
offers our students the best chance to succeed in the employment marketplace.
